The Class of 2008, the 38th graduating class, joined 1,825 people who proudly count themselves among the ranks of our school's alumni. Many of our alumni choose to return to Sumter after they finish college to start their careers and raise their families. As a matter of fact, 95 of our graduates are "legacies," or children of alumni, and 218 of our current students are children of alumni. Alumni serve on the PTO Board of Directors, the Board of Trustees and the Athletic Association Board of Directors, and 15 of our faculty members are alumni.

Alumni are encouraged to submit information at any time to be printed in the Alumni News section of the school's magazine, The Accolade. Information may be submitted via mail or it may be emailed to the Director of Alumni Relations at sean_hoskins@hotmail.com.

REUNIONS
Classes who are organizing a reunion are encouraged to contact the Director of Alumni Relations for a listing of alumni and current addresses. The campus is available for family-oriented reunion events, such as picnics and pig roasts, during the day.  The Class of 1973 and the Class of 1988 are planning reunions for the weekend of October 3, 2008, and the Class of 1998 is planning a reunion on October 25, 2008.

HOMECOMING
Homecoming is October 3, 2008, when the 2007 Homecoming Queen, Ann Bynum, will crown the 2008 Queen during halftime of the varsity football game.

DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI RECOGNITION PROGRAM
Each fall, the school presents the Distinguished Alumni Awards during half time of a varsity football game. Recipients are chosen based on their educational and professional achievements, contributions to the community, and support of Wilson Hall. The 2007 Distinguished Alumni Awards were presented to Ansley Lowder Hilton '88 and Jim Mayes '71.  The 2008 Distinguished Alumni Awards will be presented October 17th.
