Brystol Henderson Cagle ‘02 and William Croft ‘90 received the 27th annual Distinguished Alumni Awards at a special presentation on Spencer Field during halftime of the varsity football game. Mr. Fred Moulton, Headmaster, presented the awards on November 1.
Brystol works as a cardiothoracic anesthesiologist with Anesthesia Associates of Charleston and is affiliated with Roper Hospital. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in biology and from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine. Brystol completed an anesthesiology residency and a cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. She and her husband, Josh, live in Charleston where they are members of First Scot’s Presbyterian Church. They have a one-year-old son, Philip, and are expecting their second child in April.
An attorney, William is a founding partner of the Curtis and Croft Law Firm where he handles civil litigation and real estate transactions. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in English and from the Oklahoma City University School of Law with a Juris Doctor. William serves as the Wilson Hall Board of Trustees Chairman, and he is a member of the Sumter YMCA Board of Directors. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for Any Length Recovery, an alcohol and drug rehabilitation community in Sumter. William is a past-president of the Sumter Rotary Club and is a member of First Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon. He and his wife, Elyn, have two children who attend Wilson Hall, Will ‘22 and Katie ‘24.
