Financial Aid

Financial aid is available and is based on the family's financial situation.

  • The average amount of financial aid awarded is one-fifth of tuition.
  • The school does not offer any type of tuition discounts.
  • The financial aid application portal for the 25-26 school year will be available February 1.
  • Applications for financial aid for re-enrolling students should be submitted by March 1st. Applicants are encouraged to apply earlier, however, since there are limited funds earmarked for financial aid. Financial aid is awarded on a first come, first served basis until the funds are disbursed.
  • Applications for financial aid for new students should be submitted  by June 1st. However, the entirety of the funds for the 25-26 school year may be disbursed by this date.
  • Applicants must re-apply for financial aid for each academic year.
  • Financial aid is only awarded to students who are enrolled in Wilson Hall.

Financial Aid Application

Wilson Hall uses School & Student Services (SSS) by the National Assoc. of Independent Schools to assist in administering the financial aid. To apply for financial aid please click on the following link: financial aid application. The financial aid application portal for the 25-26 school year will open February 1, 2025.

The school code is 905067.

Although SSS asks for applicants to download tax documents, please do not do this. Instead, email or mail a copy of the most recent federal tax return directly to the Director of Admissions at seanhoskins@wilsonhall.org or 520 Wilson Hall Road, Sumter, SC 29150. Only the 1040 is needed; please do not send additional schedules. The documents will be shredded once they are reviewed by the Finance Committee.

Victoria Livingston Shaw Foundation Scholarship Awards

In the light of Vickey’s passion for education, her tenure as a Wilson Hall faculty member, PTO president, and trustee, as well as the Shaw family’s connection to Shaw Air Force Base, the Victoria Livingston Shaw Scholarship Foundation provides scholarship awards with special, though not exclusive, consideration for students of Shaw AFB families.

The scholarships vary in amount and are presented to students in grades three-year-old preschool through twelfth grade who meet the following criteria:

  • Qualify for admission to Wilson Hall under normal admissions requirements
  • Financial need is a component though not exclusively so
  • Award is presented as the student maintains enrollment status and at the discretion of the awards committee for a period of one, two or three years.

To apply for the scholarship, parents must complete the Shaw Foundation Scholarship application (Shaw Application) and email it to the Director of Admissions at seanhoskins@wilsonhall.org.  Along with the application, please forward a copy of the most recent federal tax return. Applications will be considered by the Victoria Livingston Shaw Scholarship committee and recipients will be notified by the first week in August.

Applications must be submitted by June 20th.
