Education Scholarship Trust Fund Program

Wilson Hall is pleased to participate in the South Carolina Department of Education’s Education Scholarship Trust Fund (ESTF) program, which provides eligible students with additional opportunities to access a high-quality, choice-based education. Through ESTF, qualifying families may receive financial support to help offset the cost of tuition and educational services, expanding access to the exceptional academic, extracurricular, and character-building experiences offered at our school.

For more information and to apply, visit https://sc-estf-program.com/en. If you need assistance, please contact ESTF support at (877) 313-1299, Monday through Friday from 8:00AM-8:00PM, or Saturday from 10:00AM-4:00PM.

The amount awarded for the 2026-2027 school year will be $7,634.00, and 15,000 families in the state will receive the scholarship. Application for the scholarship does not guarantee that the student will receive the scholarship as it is awarded on a lottery system. ESTF applications for the 2026-27 are already open, so interested families should apply as soon as possible. For example, families of four with an annual income of $160,000 or less may qualify.

Quick Facts:
- Scholarship is for students enrolling in kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Tuition funds are loaded into “Class wallet” quarterly (July, Sept, Dec and Feb).
- Families are notified and can then upload the school invoice for tuition charges and the SC ESTF program pays the school.
- Families only owe the difference after the bill is paid.
- No payment in advance and receiving reimbursement.
- Families cannot pay out of pocket and then be reimbursed.
- Once in the ESTF program, the student will remain in the program if:
-parent’s income remains within the limits
-student does not leave a private school to attend public school in his or her resident public school district
-student remains enrolled in a school in SC.
- The student is “grandfathered” until graduation from high school, though a renewal application within the portal will still be required each year.
- Parents must annually re-certify that they still meet the income limitations and still reside in SC.
- If a student receives the SC ESTF scholarship, their siblings can enroll during phase 1 if they are starting kindergarten or enrolling in an approved school.

Wilson Hall does not administer this scholarship and has no involvement in the selection process of recipients.
New students applying for admission to Wilson Hall must meet the admission requirements as stated on the website’s Admissions Page.

Enrollment dates for the 2026-2027 school year:

- If you need to go on a waiting list, you are encouraged to do so as some people drop out or move out of SC, freeing funds for people on the waiting list.
- The Federal Poverty Line Metric increases annually for inflation, so parents can expect a slight increase to the eligibility numbers in future years of the program.
- Make sure to check annually for the new eligibility threshold in case your household income becomes within the limits of the program.
- The scholarship is not taxable per the legislation.

Victoria Livingston Shaw Foundation Scholarship Awards

In the light of Vickey’s passion for education, her tenure as a Wilson Hall faculty member, PTO president, and trustee, as well as the Shaw family’s connection to Shaw Air Force Base, the Victoria Livingston Shaw Scholarship Foundation provides scholarship awards with special, though not exclusive, consideration for students of Shaw AFB families.

The scholarships vary in amount and are presented to students in grades three-year-old preschool through twelfth grade who meet the following criteria:

  • Qualify for admission to Wilson Hall under normal admissions requirements
  • Financial need is a component though not exclusively so
  • Award is presented as the student maintains enrollment status and at the discretion of the awards committee for a period of one, two or three years.

To apply for the scholarship, parents must complete the Shaw Foundation Scholarship application (Shaw Application) and email it to the Director of Admissions at seanhoskins@wilsonhall.org.  Along with the application, please forward a copy of the most recent federal tax return. Applications will be considered by the Victoria Livingston Shaw Scholarship committee and recipients will be notified by the first week in August.

Applications must be submitted by May 1st.
